tappety noise

on start up there is a tappety noise from the front right cylinder bank, it reduces when the engine is warm but is quite noticeable on start up.

Should I be worried??

I'm surprised you can hear a tappet on start up. Should be make a hell of a noise that you wouldn't notice a tappet.

The alternator makes a decent din.

yes marcus its like a ticking noise, it concerns me because its only comimg from one cylinder bank

If its what I have, then close up all windows, start car up and let it idle. Tap your foot on the accelerator pedal as if tapping along to a tune; try not to increase the revs when you tap. You should hear the noise get faintly louder every time you tap.

Still haven't got rid of mine yet, but have been having a closer look just recently and so will let you know my findings...
