A little more to this car than meets the eye...........Firstly it's a Comfort, it left here with our remap & a Tubi exhaust ? and 535 BHP & 620Lb-ft but who knows.
Oh and it was Lapis Blue last time I saw it.

Car was mine until approx 6mths ago when it had a meeting with an oncoming car and then tree... (not me driving and not the drivers fault). Damage was substantial and would guess that the rear subframe is still not pointing in the right way. For the money I know that has been spent rectifying it (not enough) after its purchase from a salvage yard I would seriously recommend any prospective buyer gets it put on a chassis rig. Car was superb before accident though and was a comfort(with buckets/rollcage etc and full carbon pack)and had the power Allan quoted. If you want to know more about the damage done then speak to Andy Fearns as he didn't want to repair the car.

To set the record straight on this car.....
I was driving it at the time of the accident (borrowed from the guy above), when I was hit by an oncoming car (a Rover 213 I think). We were both travelling at 30mph in a heavily built up residential area in pouring rain. After a long discussion with my friend and the insurance company we decided not to repair the car and take a settlement figure for it. The car did end up going to salvage (but was not written off - it is not even a Cat D) and was repaired by the chap who is selling it now.
Other than having spoken to the guy on the phone, I dont know anything about the person who bought or repaired the car. But, from my conversations with him, the cost of the repair was much much lower than the figure quoted to my insurance company. Anyone interested in the car should take away a few of things from this. Firstly, in defence of the seller, because the car has been repaired for much less than I was quoted does not mean that it hasnt been done properly. Secondly, because if the car is not registered as having been involved in an accident the seller is not legally obliged to tell the buyer unless he asks the question directly (buyer beware!). However (and this is a big however!), if the car was twisted in the accident, the damage could be much more severe (and beneath the surface), which would will be very difficult for you or a AA inspection to verify before you buy it. We werent willing to take this risk, which was a big part of the reason why we took the cash and didnt repair the car. Furthermore, I do know that the car was not repaired by Porsche. They also know the car and will not show you a good bid if you try and sell it through an OPC. They gave my insurance company a pre accident value of £50k.
I am not saying that you shouldnt touch the car, but just that you should be careful, because it does have a history. I am also not saying that the guy who repaired the car is a criminal, trying to take advantage of the unsuspecting Porsche buying public, because I do not know that either.
P.S. It is a comfort, not clubsport, and the spec on the car (including the seats) is exactly as it was when it left the factory (except the remap, the clutch, the exhaust and a couple of other tiny bits and pieces). It still is Lapis Blue as well. The mods on the car cost about £4k. It used to have a carbon wing, and carbon front bumper and carbon centre console, plus some floating discs, which took the value of the mods upto about £10k.
If you look under my profile you might also see the discussion about this car when I bought it myself a couple years ago!
Enjoy.

From the seller:
"hi the car is original clubsport. it has never been in need of any structural work. it has the carbon discs. i would be willing to have the car put through 111 point inspection. for any work need doing i always take my porsches to ramus porscha much better than porsche itself to be honest."
Maybe he doesn't know...?

Hence why its on FLEA BAY then.
Its just not right that some unsuspecting buyer could be getting a car that is not as it seems.

But if you are stupid enough to buy an Ebay car, without getting a proper mechanical check (and I don't see how you can, when bidding online for it), then you deserve to pay the price. It's a good lesson to us all!
