Do you mean the aluminum covers or trim rings for the buttons?

That's a new one. I would suggest trial and error would be the only way to go there...

Ed Gomes put some trim rings or covers over the original buttons to perk it up a bit.

Moto Concept has those and so does JAE but they are VERY expensive. I only did the alloy rings around all of the push buttons but did not change the knobs. I think it would cost around $80. I'll wait for a less expensive version.

Thank's Ed.
Do you think that it's possible to have a pic of those rings (on the car)?

The two push buttons below (defrost/vent) can be seen on the following link: www.lotusespritworld.com/EOwners/ed.html

but I have not purchased the alloy air con knobs because they are still too expensive. If anyone knows where one could get them cheaper, let me know.

Moto-concept did have some alu knobs for these on their site some time ago, but the don't seem to be there anymore. Maybe drop them a line? www.moto-concept.de

Also, Owen was talking about producing some - suggest you email him and ask www.race-speed.com

cheers
Rob

Dermot has some silver coloured knobs on the a/c etc. - I'll ask him where he got his.I've been trying to order some of the silver rings from Owen, but he doesn't seem to get back to me. Also, the price on Lotus Esprit World must be out of date as Owen seemed to want a lot more.

I have been trying to do the same thing to my V8. I did the trim rings like Rob. I got them from Race-speed and polished them before I installed them. They look Great!

The alloy heater control knobs are far more problematic. Moto concept, race speed and JAE all have stopped carrying them and I cant find any replacement. I thought aluminum billet knobs would be far classier than the black plastic.

I contacted Dermott ane he suggested I try Leven Technology in the UK. They manufacture alot of aluminum trim parts for the TVR. It looks like but I cant confirm, that much of the TVR switchgear is interchangeable with the Esprit. I am trying to find out.

They have a great aluminum window control set that Im looking into. Will post what I find out.

Leven Tech sent me to Eliseparts.com to see if any of their TVR parts would fit the Lotus. Elise parts wasnt that knowledgable about the Esprit and didnt think that the parts were interchangeable. Can any of you gents in the UK do a comparison of the switchgear in Griffith with the Esprit???
