Wanting to get a jacket/vest thingie to carry my bits and pieces more efficiently...and can only seem to find the Tamrac vest:

TAMRAC TA 153M KHAKI/BLACK VEST at about £80-90

Any others folks, especially something you can personally recommend?

Thanks

Billingham do them but even their small is huge on me

I found my Belstaff motorbike jacket rather good, but not so fine and dandy in summer.

Steve...look at the LowePro Street & Field range. They do a belt that you can get loads of gear on (and it doesn't look as dorky as a vest )

Martin.

Thanks you two

Need to get something utilitarian. Struggled last Thursday at Silverstone with just a regular jacket....and if things work out, I'll be at all the BGT events with Rollcentre Racing and their Mosler.

Domke do a good one. Used to use one some years ago and it was well made and nice light fabric so it didn't get in the way. I've also recently seen one that has a built-in seat that folds down from the back, but I can't find the link now.

Found it: www.adventurevest.com/

Domke do a brilliant one which I have been using for about the last 4 years, they are bloody expensive in this country but I got mine shipped from B&H in New York at about a quarter of the UK price. They are very comfortable to wear and I usually keep a Canon 70-200 f2.8Lis lens in one pocket and a Canon 24-70 in the other along with a couple of spare batteries for the 1DMKII, a couple of bottles of pop and usually something to eat and I tend to wear it all day. I've got the XXL one because I'm a fat bastardthumbup

ETA I've just done a search and Speed Graphic www.speedgraphic.co.uk/prod.asp?i=11391&1=Domke+Photogs+Vest have them in stock at £79.95

On a general note, I would add that most of the Domke stuff is pretty good - the original was designed by a working press photographer and it shows. They are not as well padded as some bags, but they are lighter and you can get more stuff in as a result. I have two, a big one and a little one. They're not as well known over here, but have been popular in the USA for years.

rofl Creep

I quite fancy one of those for the track and airshow seasons actually. It's not as if my Ozzie hat and 400 mm lens don't make me look a tit already anyway

Strange it works for me, go to www.speedgraphic.co.uk and search for Domke, it should be the last result in the list
