Tickets direct from ACO?

Has anybody bought camping permits directly from the ACO shop in Le Mans? If so, do you need to be a member?

I'll be in France a few weeks after this years race so I was thinking of dropping past.

Unless things have changed you won't be able to actually buy a ticket a few weeks after this years race. You'll be able to leave your order form with them (this years form with the date tippexed out and replaced!) and they will add it to the pile.

There's no real benefit to doing this though, it's just as easy to fax the form to them a bit earlier.

Reserve your 2008 tickets before the '07 race to be sure to get what you want - go to the Rotunda building opposite the circuit main entrance. Judging by the way things went this year, booking after the race will be too late.
