Ferrari 430 Hi-Fi/Navigation question?

So I love my new car but the Hi-Fi/Navigation is crap
Given that I need to take out the Ferrari Navigation CF card in order to be able to play a different MP3 card is it possible to:
1. enter a location, get the system to extract the route, then swap back in the music CF card?
2. alternatively, given that the Navigation data is only ~ 700mb, is it possible to copy the Nav data onto a 8Gb CF card then use that data along with additional music?
3. Can you run the navigation from the CD player, thereby letting you use the CF slot for music?
If none of these work does anyone know if there is a method of attaching additional memory cards to the header unit?
