I cant confirm that, but I can confrirm that a 997 engine will not fit in an Austin allegro, but a 1.8 engine from an Austin princess will fit in a 928, Dont even attempt putting a lump out of a Marina 2.0 vanden plas in a 944 its just not worth the trouble.
