New Head Gasket...
Discussion
As per my previous thread, been having problems with Water / Oil temp sender failures. Were originally replaced but problem persisted ... Just had a call from the dealers to tell me that it now needs a new head gasket as a pressure test showed a small 'leak' that's getting worse
Will be without the car for 1-2 weeks (timescale depends on if the head needs skimming and if the warranty company insists on the engine going to TVR Power)...
... wouldn't mind but i've only owned the car for two weeks!!!

Thanks HP ... I've been assured it wont cost me anything as it's a warranty job, and anything not covered will be picked up by the dealer...
... car is 2003, with c.15,000 miles. Previously owned by SEN18 from this 'board' and very well looked after I believe ... just unlucky I guess.

My headgasket went at 13k so don't feel left alone. My car was treated properly from cold and only driven hard when really warmed through. Only ever driven by me and a dealer I trust too. Popped on a trackday (not its first though). Luckily the TVR factory put some new bits in my engine so its virtually 2006 spec now (quiet when cold too)
Running lovely now too.
Just a thought, if it was fine when the last owner sold it, and if its been sitting around at a dealers maybe someone's taken it for a thrash or two ... TVR Power will sort it for you.
You'll be grinning like a cheshire cat again soon.
