Is it true, dont buy blue
Discussion
A very good friend of mine is looking to puchase a 360 which will be his 1st Ferrari.
He has been offered a Grigio 360 spyder 02 car done 12k man gearbox, but after spending 2 days with him touring all the usual jaunts everyone is saying, dont buy blue under any circumstances, make sure you get f1 and do not buy spyder.
How much of this is true as he loves the colour and as he will be using it everyday it will be an easy colour to keep clean.
Taking a look through top marques all the delaers and specialists seem to have as many in blue as they do in red so there must have been plenty sold in the past.
What do you think guys.

i presume its grigio alloy which is a light blue silver colour. grigio titanio (?) is the grey. tdf is a blue blue. im not sure which colours are supposed to be best to sell on the 360, but there seem to be a much lesser red proportion than 355 and working back in time.
my experience of having owned a tdf blue 355 was that firstly i didnt want to buy a red ferrari, i wanted one in the colour i liked best. secondly i think the non red ferraris mitigate any negative attention you might get. i only ever got positive attention in my one (apart from a drunken tramp who once took exception to it). thirdly, when i came to sell it some dealers were not interested as it wasnt red, but then the guy i sold it to privately was also after a non red car. so i would say there is a red only group of buyers and others who wouldnt consider a red car. On the 355 tho i would guess the red group was bigger in a 2/3 1/3 split.
Ultimately if hes thinking about keeping the car for a while and wont need to sell in a hurry or to trade then go for the colour you like. if this isnt the case, then go for the optimal resale combination whatever that may be (was rosso/crema on 355)

Thanks for all your opinions guys, i think you have pretty much confirmed what he is thinking and the car is Grigio the colour he wants, he is hopefully buying it today subject to its condition so i will let you have some pics once i have given it the full detail treatment.
Thanks again

When I come to get my 360/430 spyder (most likely option for next car) it will odds on be blue with crema/beige interior. If I get a lambo then yellow, granturismo, black
Depends what you want and can get - funnily there aren't that many blue fezzas so not much choice for me (certainly no 430 spiders <100K

What like i am with them next door!!!!!!!
My Blue f1 is being sold in June, as long as the car has the history it will sell, their are so many 360's available only the best examples will go easily for proper money, the rest will go into auto trader with the rest of the car meat! If you are buying a ferrari from this pool of used cars you are playing russian roulette.
Power warranty and full ferrari history essential (Verdi's is the exception). A car with recent cambelts and clutch will add attraction to buyers.
Anyone buying soley on colour and price needs head examining. Why buy a cheap red car that will fall to bits and cost a fortune and ruin the whole ferrari experience?????
Thankfully there are other buyers out there who want a decent car that has come from a proper home, no matter what the colour if the car is correct it will sell.
