Daily 125cc Commuter - MX bike?
Discussion
Hi chaps,
After almost passing out at the cost of my annual train season ticket I have looked at getting myself a little run about.
I could be in work in 10 mins from my house, currently 45mins on train inc waiting around.
Free parking in works underground carpark.
I am a big'ish chap 15 stone, 6'2" so a little moped simple wouldn't do. As a naughty teenager I owned a Honda XL125 MX which in seat height was perfect, are MX any good for the commute on british roads?
I like the look of those KTMs, Husqys and Suzzy DRs

i assume you mean trail bikes rather than mx as mx are not road legal? plus points are you get good visibility ,nice and light ,crashable without too much expense to fix great down back lanes .downsides are very thievable, eat chains etc ,you get filthy when it rains from spray off front wheel, not good at motorway type speeds ,tank ranges are not great .
