Recently bought a 350i and love it. BUT I now have a clutch problem, with no gears obtainable. As there is little pressure when the cluth pedal is depressed, suspect hydraulic problems. Would anybody like to confirm this, and guide a mechanical idiot through the steps to bleeding the system, which clutch fluid to use, where to find all the pipes and cylinders etc, etc.
My excuse for being so clueless is the fact I have driven company cars for many years, and never got as far as finding the bonnet catches!

Many thanks

The clutch master cylinder is the little one next to the brake cylinder and can leak into the car.
If you look under the dash there is a silver rod attached to the cluch pedal arm which goes into the cylinder, check leaks here.
The pipe from the master cylinder goes direclty into the slave cylinder which is low down on the drivers side of the gearbox.
To bleed it attach a bleed tube to the nipple just above where the pipe goes in to the slave cylinder, put the other end in a drinking glass sized container, loosen the nipple with a spanner, get someone to pump the clutch, topping up the cylinder to stop more air getting in every couple of clutch presses. If you get a bleed tube with a one way valve its easier as you don't have to do up the nipple during the bleeding.
when you have pumped the new fluid through (after the clutch has been pressed down about 4 times tighten the nipple up and its done.
I put dot 5.1 brake and clutch fluid in mine.
Can get all the stuff in halfords or similar.
I'm guessing yours is leaking from somewhere if its gone that quickly, fitting a new master cylinder is easy enough though, if its that.
