That was entertaining. Sommit split the tyre and gouged a few lumps in the wheel arch as it went kerdink kerdink kerdink then see something fly up in the air and cars behind take avoiding action. Pull into the services and tyre shot. Sooooo, no use using the tyre weld seeing as where the split was, side wall and tread. Space saver on and 50 odd miles on the sodding thing, people nearly ramming me up the chuff, 50mph max, HGV's giving me the benefit of their airhorns and all round nice chaps inviting me for coffee. May the flea's of a thousand camels infect their @rseoles.
To top it all, the service station had no air line to top up the spacesaver (lesson there somewhere) so try the tyre weld and its empty. Never used and nothing there. New can from the garage and up to pressure and orfski to the land of coffee invites.
Sooooo, what does this tyre weld goo do to stuff, should I be looking at changing the space saver tyre or just getting the valve sorted as I assume it will all goo up?

Problem there. I need he space for bits and bobs required when working away. Live in Wales and HQ in Coventry. Stuck with the space saver, miffed at the attitude of other drivers and will give the saver a go with a foot pump to see if it will take air I suppose.
Long day either way. At least i got some A and B roads in before the mishap.

Personally I'd stick with the space saver and buy a 12v pump to carry around. Seems like the best compromise IMHO.
You'd have been goosed if you just had the can of tyreweld (as you already pointed out) and carrying round a full wheel isn't worth it for the odd time you may need it (it could also still be low on pressure as the space saver was).
