Just in the process of buying one and wondered what owners thought ?

Just sold my R1 and fancy summat a bit different instead of another 1000,
ie Fireblade, Gixer 1000, R1 etc.

Haven't test riden a 750, and I'm a little worried that I'll miss the power and torque of the R1, but looking forward to less weight and something a little more nimble on the twisties ?

Morning Ian,

Can't help with your question I'm afraid, but I just wondered why the switch down?

Picked up my K7 750 in black last Saturday, so far only ridden from the dealership to home, but that was 100 miles, very comfy and easy to ride. I have only ridden a CBR 600 before but the 750 is so much easier bike to live with I found. Its has everything you want in a current sports bike.

Why not get the new GSXR1000 ? It comes with a 3-map setting so if you're not in the mood for the full monty then just press the button on the bars & it will restrict it. Its like 3 bikes in 1.

Dunno really ?

Just fancy something different this time, had Blades and R1 and mate has a Gixer 1000, which I've rode, all very similar. Fantastic in a straight line, but let's face it who can exploit a 1000cc on the road to it's max ?! I think the new 600/750 might be able to show them their back wheel on the twisties, as well ?
Also cheaper on tyres, insurance etc.
Several mates have moved to the new R6's, which they also race,(all doing Manx GP this year) and have told me to get, but for the road I think a 750 will always be easier to live with ? wobble

Do you mind me asking where you bought from ?

Getting all sorts of prices from K6's to K7's some as cheap as £6500 (imports) but don't think thats anything to worry about ?!

Just finishing running in my black K7 750, absolutely awesome. Had a little drag with a K4 1000 last night, kept up with it no problem
Front end is very good, loads of feeling and very precise. Engine has loads of pull, even from low revs.

I too have a black 750 K7 and if I was any more in love with it, I'd probably try and penetrate it.

Got mine from Fowlers in Bristol, they are doing 0% on them.
