Excuse the newbness, but this morning on my way to work, I passed by a black, 03 numberplate Jag, it had the X308 shape (I think), a red R on the left side of the numberplate on the back, and mesh-vents on the sides, behind the front wheels, a bit like a BMW M3.

Is that simply an XJR-R (which I know about, better brakes, and different wheels)? What confused me were those vents, didn't know about those...

so i take it no one knows... mysterious indeed! it didn't look like an aftermarket jobby... looked very clean and professionally done...

There were no side vents used on any of the XJ variants until the current X350. Must have been an aftermarket jobbie.
