THE LITTLE SIDE QUARTER WINDOWS ON MY 90 SE ARE LOOKING PRETTY SCABY, THE BLACK PAINT AND SEALANT IS COMING AWAY FROM THE GLASS. HAS ANYONE REMOVED AND RE-SEALED THEM OR IS IS A SPECIALIST JOB??

Have a look at my profile. I asked a similar question back in January. I think Calvin Hamanda and Jim MacFadden?? gave me some tips on how to remove and reseal your rear quarter glass. It's quite easy, you just need a guitar wire on a frame or some sort but check out the other thread and this will give you more info.

Cheers,

Pay attention when you drill the rivets holding the black plastic protection of the B pillar. Mine was broken during change and was unavailable in Lotus england. I ordered it from SJsportscars.co.uk
Another little trick is to place the window enough to the rear (in fact at the exact place) to be able to place the black pillar protection perfectly in place otherwise the rubber of the door will be teared while closing the door.
Finally, in the Lotus service note they suggest to fill the gap between the lower part of the glass and the "wing" with the sealant so that water will flow down on the wing and not stay at the lower edge of the window. However this was not done on my car.
Hope this little tricks help
