Want to get an xbox 360 today

So, what are the essentials i need.

and i can get 20% off today, making that package £240.

Is there anything else i need, like a play and charge kit etc. and i dont have broadband yet for live etc.

and other games suggestions for a PH like myself would be good too

PGR3 is a must, as for charge kits i just use normal rechargable batterys in mine

I don't have the charge kit, but it is probably worth it (when i have spare cash, I will get it). The controllers are very battery thirsty.

You might want to get some 'Microsoft Points' too, as that will enable you to download addictable games like Worms!

I heard somewhere that Makro were selling the premium pack for £199.99. Which is worth a look if you have a card

Have a look in game. When i got mine they were doing the same price but with PGR3, live arcade thing, and 2 other games for £299! oh and 2 wireless controllers. was a good deal.

play&charge kit is really good.

as for games you could wait till you get BB and then download game demos off live.. or rent them first, or just buy em;

test drive unlimited - bit arcadey but its pretty good.
project gotham3 - also good. get it free with most xbox's anyway
need for speed carbon - bought this cos i was bored, its ok. but not the best game ever! again very arcadey. there doesnt seem to be any "sim" games out for x360 yet, correct me if i'm wrong tho
gears of war - good game but the novelty wears off
pro evolution soccer 6 - the only football game you need, until 7 comes out
ghost recon 2 - wicked game if you like shooting
rainbow six vegas - as above
saints row - something half decent to play while waiting for grant theft auto 4
splinter cell double agent - good game but can get tedious sneaking around everywhere. and the maps make no sense so you dont often know where to go!!! (might just be me beign stupid)
