ELECTRIC WINDOW FUSES
Discussion
Hi guys, my drivers side electric window has decided not to work now the sun is shining and before I take it to a auto electrician I wondered if there are any checks I can do myself before I splash out cash! The switches are brand new so it's not them, does each window have it's own fuse? Maybe it's the motor, if so what's the donor car? Thanks in anticipation!
This happened to mine not so long ago. There is a fuse for each so it's worth checking those first.
However, mine turned out to be the the connector in the door which is luckily easily accessible through the speaker hole. Wiggled it and it started working again
Not sure if what they're off though, window motor is Citroen iirc ? ?
Cheers

Yes....connector in the door...that was the problem with mine too...incidentally, I checked the voltage present at that connector whilst pressing the window switch (engine running, ignition light extinguished) and only got 9.6 volts...which would explain why the window operates slowly. I haven't progressed this fault but suspect another dodgy spade connector somewhere.

Agree!!
Almost certainly the connector behind the door card. Un-clip the connector and give a clean as best you can to the pins and spray with an electrical restorer.
