Accusump...

Right, I've just bought a new engine for my Cerb' so think it's about time to fit an Accusump accumulator into the system.

Has anyone else on here fitted an Accusump, and if so how did you fit it, directly into the block or via a sandwich plate?

I'm looking at a system with Electronic valve opening between 35 and 40 psi.

Any comments appreciated.

I fitted one to my Cerb, I had it on the passenger side of the engine bay sat underneath the intake pipe on the inner wing. I fitted a T-piece on the remote oil line from the filter to the engine with the solenoid valve wired into the ignition feed via a 2nd switch. If you want to work on the car with the ignition on you can turn off the accusump to stop it from discharging.

I used -8 line from the accusump to the T-piece

worked a treat as I found my cerb would very occasionally suffer from oil surge after heavy braking if the oil level wasn't overfilled slightly, this cured that.

Thanks for the reply Matt, what size did you go for, I've been quoted for the 6 pint version but it seems a bit of the large side (4.5" dia x 16"?

Scrub that, have just placed the order so we'll see how well I get on with it.
