No not really apart from the fact I have been all over this car and the owner has claimed so much and its not correct. The previous owner has also slacked of his claims. Why has it been up on E-bay two or three time?

Quality speaks for itself. Either someone buys it unseen (in which more fool them) or they go to see it, bid what they think it's worth and either win or lose. If the reserve is higher than people are prepared to pay, it won't sell.

Whilst on the one hand we wouldn't want our internet 'mates' being lumbered with something that's not right, we also shouldn't stop the same 'mates' from trying to sell something they don't want.

We're all adults, we should be prepared to live with whatever mistakes we make

the ebay advert shows now some chassis pictures....but only the centre-section...the sills with outtriggers are hidden by the ramps....guess why?

and the advert states:

"THE CHASSIS HAS BEEN INSPECTED AND GIVEN A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH AND RE WAXOILED IN PARTS THERE IS NO RUST ON THE CHASSIS, PLEASE SEND ME A MAIL FOR CHASSIS PICS WHICH I WILL TAKE THIS WEEKEND"

i can see diletantic painted (undersealed) "and still rusty" chassis-tubes.

also:
"THERE IS A CUSTOM BUILT STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST FITTED TO THE TASMIN,WHICH WAS MADE AT GREAT COST BY ...."

interesting ... must be a special stainless steel, as it is already rusty!!! lol....

The rusty parts of the exhaust must be the tubular manifolds...right?
Suppose you can get other pics of the chassi if you ask for it?!
Is there anyone here who has actually seen the car recently?
Would be interesting if someone could put some hard facts "on the table".

Mr Tank, if the car is such a wreck and such a "joke" as you've called it in the past, why did you buy it?

You did examine it closely a couple of times before signing the V5, right?

I only looked at it once at the then owner was up front with me what was wrong with the car! I purchased it knowing that some work was needed. Thats why I brought it!

Unfortunatly it was three months before I could collect the car. When I did eventualy collect the car it developed a running problem within 1/4 mile from the owner's house! It struggled to get 35 mile from his house! I managed to limp it back there and for the 70 miles it did it used 3/4 of a tank of fuel. This problem and all the other ones made me canncel the sale. The old owner obviously was a bit miffed but understod. My problem is the new owner is claiming so much has been done, but it obviosly has not! Its a matter of trust thats all!

never heard that the manifolds are on the back of a car...check the pictures again and you will see that the rear section is rusty!!!

I was referring to these lines........ since one of the pics showed the manifolds going in the stainless part of the exhaust.
I´m not a complete idiot.....:-(

The only rusty bit of the exhaust I can see is the driver side down pipe right next to the gearbox. You can see the stainless twin rear pipes sticking out the back!!

P.S I don't agree with this blatant slagging off of this car. Give it a rest FFS.

Yes you are totally wrong now. You don't know the front from the back!
