Due to impending baby & more to the point impending double nursery fees I am having to temporarily suspend my Porsche owner status.
So off I go to the Indy I bought it from, asking what he will give me for it & explaining why.
He works his figures & says “ After settling your finance you could drive away in that little Audi A3 we have out the back if you want”
Perfect just what I need for now, no point in spending money as nothing will come close to 996.

So to the point, I have just looked up parkers for valuations of the car I traded in 12 months ago & the little A3 I am getting back.

There is only £1435 of a difference, I know I have been paying £300 per month on the 996, but I still see it as only losing £1435 in a year of Porsche ownership. That is cheap motoring by any standards.

I will still be reading, just not driving all things Porsche for NOW.

Damn, my L reg Honda Civic lost more value in a year than your 996! And I I didn't even put in a quarter of your miles! eek Am also planning on getting my full investment back on my 996 later this year!

Did you sell your car? Or were you paid out for the field incident?
