If you cant be bothered to spend ages fidling around with the hastle of trying to remove the rear callipers, then use a drill mounted hole cutter, and cut a suitable size hole above the calliper in the boot behind the spare wheel. When i done this i had 1 calliper out in around half-hour!

Forgot about that. I have been told that you need to make sure that the replacement panel is well secure and sealed as there is a lot of pressure under there at speed?

NOOOOO why do this, just take your time, if it takes a day so what?
Its not as if you need to do it often.

If you want to make sure your fridge light goes out when you close the door, use a similar hole cutter to create a suitable observation port in the front of the door.
