Boot release and passenger door

Have had a small problem for a couple of days and thought that i would investgate this morning but am a little stumped, any advise would be appreciated.

Boot and passenger door will not open although the passenger window lowers as if to open but the lock will not release the door, read the book and it seemed simple enough, fuse 7 blown, does boot,door and radio, although no problems with radio.

Opened the boot(wink wink)fuse 7 fine, checked all fuses all seem fine, however with the boot open you can hear a small clicking sound coming from the door lock control unit in the boot.

Anyone had a similar problem or have any idea where to start looking.

it could be the servo motors that operate the locks bit of a coincidence though if they have both gone together, to check the easiest one to get to really is the boot servo if you peel the carpet back behind the badge you will see a hole where the servo is located if you put your fingers in you will feel two wires. pull the wires out through the aperture and disconnect them from the servo put twelve volts across the two wires of the sevo it should move ,if not it proves this one is knackered if it does move could be a problem with the doors and windows black box in the boot. if the servos have gone you can purchase these from maplins £8.99 each i know because i have just changed my boot lock servo. if you find servos to be ok disconnect the doors and windows box leave for a minute or to and reconnect this may reset it and they may then work hope this helps
