Hi there,

I am a massive fan of the FIA GT series and it is fantastic to see the Murcielago finish in first place, can't wait for the next round at Silverstone.

Heres a link to the offical FIA GT site with the final standings: -

and a picture of the winning car: -

Watched the race on tv, the Lambo got in to first with about 15mins of the race to go. Came out of nowhere really. Fantastic!

Hi Autofocus

It was on DSF (German). I thought it was live but they missed about 20 mins just before the R-GT got the lead, hence my surprise that they were suddenly leading. Lots of footage of the Lambos throughout.

By the way I think I've seen lots of your photos of various Lambo events (I think it's you), nice work. I'm also into taking pics & video of events and looking forward to a few this year.

Is this the first race win for a Lamborghini?

I know they hold some records and regularly clean up in powerboats ....but I don't remember outright motorsport wins.

Other than the one-make Diablo series, you may be right.

Not exactly. They have one 2 (I think) championships in Australian GT racing with Paul Stokell in a Diablo GTR. In real terms I suppose it would be regarded as a first (& well deserved) win!

Is that a Reiter built car then?

Given the high standard of competition in GT racing that's a hell of an achievement and worthy of a huge HURRAH!!!

Yes, both Murcielagos built by Reiter.
