spiders question (tyre size)

Hi all,

I bought a set of 18" spiders last night and i need two rear tyres, they are the funny offset rear wheels that people say can cause clearance problems. So my question is why can't you just put the same size tyres as the front on the rear. The wheels are the same width all round just a different offset. Surely this would help in the clearance stakes.

What do you think, all opinions welcome.

Spyders on the rear should be 255 x 35 x 18ZR - just be careful -- dont go anywhere near a kerb -it cost me £88 to refurb it first day I had mine!!

Did you buy the ones on ebay. If so was the front spiders damaged?

No got them from a wanted ad i put on here (£500 with 2 good tyres)

I hope they are not buckled. - if you get vibration... that will be the cause.

I was a bit worried about that myself so i spun them on a wheel balancer this morning and they are very good. one has a slight amount of movement but very minimal.
