Went for a blast up to Bolton Abbey today in the Murcie, together with Nastywej in his 640 and my Business partner Dave in his Stradale..Got to Harrogate and saw a yellow Gallardo Spider waiting at a roundabout (Blot/Tony??), then back up the A1/M1 where the 640 nearly deafened me doing driveby's. Got to J39 on the M1 where I parted company with the 640, and not 2 mins later looked in my mirror to see a 6.0ltr Diablo in Orange right up my ar*e! Pulls over for a looksee.
Jon do you know the car?? Carlo sold it - its on an '02 plate - apparently the very last one in the UK, black/Orange interior and is actually a 6.0Ltr SE. No rear spoiler..only 12k on it. And it lives 2 miles from me. Weird.. Then to top it off passed a pearl white Gallardo coming the other way. Common as muck these Lambo's

Nope, I was out and about late afternoon for the Mrs to get driving it, but only got as close to Hgte as the A59 roundabout off the A1. Common as muck indeed!

I agree with you. Today I saw a black gallardo on the M25, and yesterday a 6 litre diablo in yellow, with air scoops on roof; parked in lancaster ferrari/ porsche car park.

Today on the M25 we followed a red stradale with number plate WIOOW, was this your friend? I've seen the car before somewhere but couldn't remember!! Sounded awesome.

Saw Simonspider(?) on the M1 heading north on sunday afternoon...

One of few cars that can be spotted a mile off, even coming in the opposite direction!!

We were in the Blue TVR Cerbera (with one wing in bare fibreglass ) heading south after a trackday at croft cloud9

I was lucky enough to pass this little convoy whilst heading towards Skipton on my return from a Porsche meet.

It was an awe inspiring sight, wonderful to see such machines out on the road

Also, an 07 plate Gallardo Spyder 'flying' round Manchester city centre about 6.30 this evening. Orange. Sounded awesome. Not sure on the driving style though.

Hi Simon wavey

The car has done more like 20k ++++ has a lurid orange dash , but is a 1 of 1

It is the last cat by VIN number (LA12893), followed by the Black 02 car

Watchit! laugh

I suspect this Lambo glut is due to the fact that owners are actually driving the cars rather than looking at them, particularly Gallardos.

There are still probably only about 1100 Lambos in the country, including older models, which makes them as rare as hen's teeth really. They're just being used as intended.

Remember for several years in the 90's Sant' Agata's production was literally about 20 cars a year. yikes Even when the Diablo was considered to be selling well, production was still only about 200 units a year.
