I have early 280I with trailing arm...goes through bushings like crazy, is there a fix available that will help stiffen up the rear and save changing the bushings every few months?
Any help appreciated

If the trailing arm setup is the same as the early 350 then there seems to be another problem that is causing this?

Do you mean the arm to chassis bush?

Yes, sorry wasn't very clear...its the bushing mounting that fits the front edgeof trailing arm to the chassis....one pin bent, replaced it, but in a few mnths the bushing is worn and distroted and needs to be changed..

If its the one I think you mean then goodly amount of grease, copper ease, is also required. In 8 years I replaced mine once. Geometry out? What caused the pin to bend?
Thinking thet maybe something else loose causing it to bend? Also was the 2 nut and bolts secure that hold the bush?

I'd suggest you chat to Richard Moore at Moore racing 01908368960. They work on the Taz race cars and set them up. All are trailing arm. They started with standard cars when the series began. Though many cars now have rose jointed coilovers all round and negative camber front end set ups the inner trailing arm end is pretty much standard but with uprated bushes. They could definitely set the car up. Rates are V.Good. They've just doen the full monty coilover, negative, weeble firkin job on my V8 Wedge at what I thought was V.Good price.
