92 RR Classic alarm remote key fob battery replacement
Discussion
I presume your fobs are the single button type??
If so be very careful as they are no longer available and if they fail after you have managed to lock the car, you could be in for a difficult time in getting it started again.
The fob applies the immobiliser is the ONLY way you can get it switch off.
I would suggest you find an auto electrician with a transmitter reader which will read any output from your fob to see if it working. Then you can get them to change the batteries.
For now, only lock the car with the key in the door ( the alarm still switches on but not the immobiliser or ultrasonics).

Well done, it pays to check the easy bits first!
Keep the batteries in good order in your fobs to prevent any problems in the future.
If you loose the key fob code to the car there is a way of keying it in to vehicle using a specific switching seqeunce. This can be found hidden in the Electrical Troubleshooting manual a copy of which can be found online from one of the Landrover forums.
