So nurburgring is to honour MS by naming a corner or bend after him
can you imagine how James Allen will be W***ing himself off over the prospect of spouting on and on and on and on... about it i think I will watch the race with an F1 ambient cd on in the back ground the man will be unbarable (sp?)

The GP circuit. I doubt MSC has ever raced on the 'Ring, but I'd be surprised if he hasn't driven it. Unless of course he did it in his Endurance Racing days?
I reckon he deserves it, and it's far better than a number or a sponsor's name!
EDIT: Couldn't find anything on Wiki, it wasn't on the calender when he was in the Sauber. And they would have raced karts, F3000 or F3 there I don't think!

Glad to see that the 7 times world champ and greatest driver of his generation is to have a corner named after him, at what is his and this year, the German nation's home GP.
Since when were racing drivers honest? For that matter since when was anyone in motorsport honest? Schumacher was/is no better or worse than any of his peers.

Senna and Schumacher are generally considered among the greatest drivers of all time
Coulthard, Hill, Villneuve (J), are not. Not to take anything away from their own ahievements. But Schu and Senna would do anything to win.
However I do refer, not only to what we see on the international televised stage. Whereas Schu and Senna did it in front of everyone, the others drivers would have all had their own moments throughout their career, where they would have stratched the rules to win, be it on or off the track. They are all equally honest and dishonest.
Even Hamilton who's halo glows so bright it's hard to look right at him, will have opposition from his past who may have a different view of quite how much aof a good boy he really is.

i dont understand what thats got to do with it, i never said DH, DC or JV were better drivers tham MS. you were talking about his "peers", Coulthard, Hill, Villneuve (J) were all his peers at the time he was racing. and during that time schuey tried to punt each one of them off the track.

still disagree. the 3 "peers" of MS may well have pushed the rules envelope in order to win GPs but to the best of my knowledge, none of them deliberately tried to shunt someone of the race-track to achieve a win. so i dont follow how they can be classed as 'honest and dishonest' as MS. the man certainly would do anything to win as you rightly say, but infortunately thet meant he was prepared to cheat his arse off to do so. in my opinion he was much more dishonest than the other 3 put together. i imagine history will say the same....
OK so i misunderstood, you were reffering directly to those who were on the recieving end of the great MS punt. I thought you were just naming a few peers, but now I get it. All the same my point was/is they all cheat to get to where they are. I suppose though the word cheat is relative to what everyone else is doing and MS did take it further.
For me it only adds to his status. He wasn't the first and will not be the last. I am not about to write spiteful words about the man because of it, and if you haven't guessed already I am infact quite a fan. Or was quite a fan...
Though an impossible situation to occur, I would love it if MS was English and how we would react to his antics then....no doubt he would have been showered with praise for his very English determination to win and compared to the characteristics of a British buldog......or some crap like that

you know you hate the cheatin bar-steward really
i dont think winning at all costs in an attractive trait. winning within the spirit of the game is much more fulfilling. one of the reasons i like DC is because of his sportsmanship.
on the subject of schu getting his own corner, well no matter what they call it, it wont be as cool as 'dingle dell'
