after the saga with the backend of the car

the back suspension assembly no loger rocks or moves under the car

managed to get the wife back in there and driving again

she went on an hours road training saturday around goodwood

and it worked quite well

hopefully her confidence is back up so she will start driving it again

the sterring wheel hasn't moved from where it has been in the last couple of months so hopefully that problem is fixed.

cant say under name and shame rules

no diagnosis as they just went away and tightened everything

alignment is wrong but it is not changing so it's a start

they claimed they just re torqued the backend

didn't say they found anything

after my wife crashed the xjr "I know what to do in a slide"

the repair bill states otherwise

i sent her first for skid training

that was a laugh

all these spotty herberts 17 just passed and parents taking them for skid control

ended up being a lesson in how to thrash the parents car

these kids only used 3k revs max and couldn't get enough speed to slide

so i taught them to keep in in gear and rev to 6k

they all came back with massive grins and the parents wanted to lynch me

anyways after that i got the jag back repaired

and we booked 2 track sessions at goodwood with mitheral and a dedicated instructor for the WHOLE day

yes it cost and she had gavin on the track really rebuilt her confidence in the jag while i had my little MR2. he is an excellent instructor. and chris taylor from mithril took her on the road.

anyway did the job rebuilt her confidence

anyway the relibility of the jag meant it had to go

so we traded it in for a diesel x type

she loves this good handling and easy to manage

managed to persuade her the monaro is a good family car and all was going well till the back end started being funny.

she refused to drive it scared it would bite her and spin like the jag

she can drive very well for a woman

anyway i phoned up chris and got an hour session at a discounted rate

it was so low i threw in a bottle of bushmills

i think chris does road training my best advice is phone and talk to the guy

i have done quite a few track days through him
