Classifieds database access...?

Bit from the left-field, this one, but would it be possible to gain read access to the classifieds database, so I could pull out numbers and letters rather than the standard html output of list.asp?

It would help massively with a project I have in mind, and might (one day!) lead to a unique tool from which PHers could benefit massively...
