What is this "roof on and windows up" driving experience of which you speak?

Seriously though, assuming all the seals on the roof panel are present and in good shape, and the window glass is properly adjusted to secure a good approximation to the seal along the roof panel sides, then there should be no Whistling Dixie - there certainly isn't on mine even above the ton. Have you tried opening the footwell vents (or closing them rolleyes) in case this might even out any pressure differential?

I had this very same problem (albeit 5 years ago LOL)...

Manek provided the solution:

I'd pull the seal out a bit and stretch it ever so slightly as I eased it back in. Cost: £0. Time: 10 minutes.

should sort it out.

edited to add as hut49 says - just take the roof off

My whistling although seems to be coming from both side mainly comes from along the front on the roof panel where it meets up with the top of the windscreen ???

On a similar vein, I drove my Chim home from London to York, after buying, on a cold wet dark evening. Windows up and roof on was the only option. Noticed a lot of whistling at above 55 mph. Since getting the car home, I checked the following:-

1. Seal across the top of the screen frame is OK
2. Both sidewindows rise up fully...if anything the passenger side is a few centimetres higher than on my side.
3. The problem seems to be that despite (2), above, there is a small gap between the top of the window glass and the roof, from about three quarters of it length up to the front edge of the glass. It doesn't seem worth taking the door panel off and diving in. Could a thicker side roof seal solve this, or could I move the Roof seal nearler to the edge of the Roof. Alternatively i could say ....k it, and never use the roof.
