Ok, I haven't had my Porsche long but I've noticed that absolutely no one lets me out of junctions.

Now my 928 is 25 years old so it's really a classic car, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

Does everyone else encounter this???

Not really, in fact quite the opposite round this part of the world I suppose cause 911's are quite rare.

cant say I have too many issues...

I do have the occasional idiot that sees me coming and tries to race out of a junction/roundabout to get infront of me, but i figure thats a boyracer mentality..

not a problem in the 993's I've had - in fact often a thumbs up plus big smile while letting me out..

had a 996 for a little while and that was different - no letting out....

Noticed that when I had a BMW, but not in my Porsche.

In a BMW loan car at the moment - last night i tried to change lanes so i could turn right about 100 metres up the road. The minute i indicated, the nob in a clapped out rust bucket decided to accelerate to close the gap, and wouldnt let me in

Never had this in the porsche

Commuting through London every morning I'm very used to being cut up on a regular basis and never being let out of junctions. However, had an extended 48hr test drive in an Aston Martin V8 Vantage a couple of months back. People literally slamming their brakes on to let me pull out of junctions and changing lanes was never so easy... It does make a difference..!!

Yeap, generally don't get let out of junctions or let into queues - infact I've noted cab drivers, and the inexperienced (young hot-heads and UK 'newcomers' in their million miler mercs) are the worst in London, some practically driving into the back of the car infront not to give way, or let in. Amusing when you don't have to get anywhere, but tiresome when you do.

I find people pretty neutral (in both 911 and Boxster), just treat you like anything else.

I previously had a BMW M Coupe, and people very often let you out on functions, it was an unusual eye catching shape. Got a lot more looks than a 911.

no problems but i do find that people are less willing to move over on the motorway compared to my previous TVR.

perhaps they were surprised to see a tvr in that lane..

I think when you're driving something unusual you should be unbelievably polite at junctions, roundabouts, etc if only to counter the popular notion that Porsche drivers are tts! I see some truly shocking driving from 318i and 320d drivers which gives BMWs such a bad rep and would honestly put me off replacing my Cayman S with the new M3, even though I've always wanted a car with a V8. Arrogance behind the wheel is not helpful to the cause.

Can't say I have ever had a problem pulling out of junctions in my Porsche or in any other car I have ever owned come to think of it. I tend to do very little city driving which may be one of the reasons, but my 911 is no better or worse in general.

I usually get let out pretty quickly. As long as you don't trying to push your way out, people normally let you in. I was surprised because I was expecting people to deliberately get in the way but it has been the opposite. There aren't a huge number of 911's in Chester though.

I always think that you need to be polite with almost everyone if you do have a fairly unusual car when you are near home as people will remember you ! Sometimes I can't help myself if someone is being an ar*e ......

Don't seem to have a problem getting in or out of junctions from 99% of people. Don't have issues with 99% of the cars I overtake. Don't have a problem with 99% of the cars behind me.

Its a small minority that see the badge and have to act like a tt.
