thats alright... its just a GT3 kitted C2 trying to get your attention!

I saw a 996 C2 for sale near here.

Full GT3 kit and wheels - fair enough, its a good looking car
GT3 badge on back - personal opinion
GT3 badge in cabin - taking it a touch far
GT3 private plate (one of those change letters/numbers, squish and squint)

And he thought this made it a GT3 replica worth about 3-4 grand more than it was supposed to be hehe

Why have autolign had it anything to do with it ?
As far as I can recall, autolign reclassify cars that have been categorised post pay out.
eg cat c or cat d.

As far as fake is concerned, for the same reason they buy a fake Rolex.
Never understood it myself.

Seemed conspicuously good value, this probably explains why...

Theres nothing fake about it, apart from the GT3 badge, the bodykit is factory fitted. I would guess at least 25% of 911s have certain bodywork from cars above them in the range

However it is obviously accident damaged and repaired so 25k is too expensive

i believe uncle Henry has or had a similar car for sale - and that was a tippy!

whilst perusing the autotrader classifieds at the weekend I noticed a 996 x50 turbo for sale. Nice spec, very low miles which was explained by the owner saying he didnt take the car on motorways to avoid stone chips.

still it looked good until you saw the rear of the car. yep - it had an "s" sticker alongside the turbo badge yikes

i know this is a minor misdameanour incomparison to the OP's car BUT who would pay in excess of £95k for a car and then badge it as something it clearly isnt?

I saw a BMW M3 yesterday badged as a 318i. That's OK and pretty funny.

So “nothing” was not a good word me thinks, if you are being pedantic...

I spotted the advert too and when I saw the title thought I would have a nose. The fact he has a GT3 badge on the back tells you he is trying to pass it off as something it isn't. Each to their own as they say, but I have seen a few people on this forum suggest that sports suspension and a body kit makes a C2 a GT3 which is somewhat deluded, bit like our seller I suggest.

I cant get my head round re-badge of a car, I have an opinion but best keep it to myself. Maybe if your going to re-badge why not do something like a nuclear sub or the space shuttle or something a bit more daring. Mind you if you do dont tempt fate and call it the Kursk or Columbia....
