It was on the news last night. The driver said that a cone got stuck under the car causing it to slide like that.

The only cone the car comes into contact with, is the one its nuts out of the way prior to hitting the wall - sounds like he had the foot on the throttle more or less up to impact - perhaps the cone was stuck on he's foot
