Not sure to post it here or in P&Pso here goes

Going to orlando next week with the family. Taking my 910 as we will be goign to Miami and a few other areas. Not used a sat nav abroad before and I was thinking of getting some information on the Zip codes etc forehand

help or suggestions on how best to get prapared before i go, so I have most of the places on my Tom tom beforehand

Calculate routes of everywhere you intend to go and save them as FAVOURITES. Jobby done.

Right I have added some of the UK addresses for hotel I am staying in but it will not accept US zip codes or citys and addresses

Might sound stupid but you have switched to the US map before trying to find the post code haven't you?

ummmmmmmmmmm not sure how to do that. my maps are on the hard driver on the 910 so thought it would just now where I was when i'm over there?

Yep you have to switch it to the US and it takes an age to get a satellite synch so would recommend getting off the plane, switching maps, and leave the unit on waiting for it synch.
