I'm pretty close to deciding to get a 355. It fits through the garage doors, I can afford servicing and insurance, and the boss isn't that unhappy about it. Now I just need to sell a Ducati 999R first...

Anyway, I live along an unmade up road which would be impassable in the winter but fine in the other 3 seasons. it does have 4 speed ramps on it though (to divert water rather than slow down traffic). How does a 355 handle 'normal' speed bumps? Does anyone know how much ground clearance there is?

Ta for your help.

normal speed bumps are fine if approached at zero speed. aggro happens on off camber road/entrances to garage / petrol station forecourt etc. clearence around 4 1/2 inches. buy some skid plates from paul hill and you'll have no worries

yup, agree with tony h. speed bumps never caused me a problem however getting the car down into my underground car park involved a plank of wood - the front overhang is relatively long and grounds out badly

Not a chance with speed bumps in mine. The red square types are complete bolloxs to my car. No matter how slow, and i mean slow i go over them it grates on the ground FX. I weigh 19 stone so you can imagine how it is with two people in the car. I have to plan to drive around them types of speed bumps.

Yes most speed bumps caused concern for my F355, if unable to avoid I used to drive over them at an angle this reduced the imediate increase in height for the front overhang. As going very very slow I always got some impatient person behind me.

these are tiny - about 3" high (at a guess) and less than a foot wide. Can't drive round them without going through fields though...

I agree with Neil - drive over them at an angle - and at only 3" high I'm sure they won't cause any problem at all.
