It will prove useful to the likes of me too, the ones who used to ride, then family costs got in the way. I have no idea what equipment to buy these days, and a forgiving bike is a must when easing the old reflexes onto newer quicker iron. Top job.
I used to sneer at "Born again Bikers", and now I find I am one. All part of not growing up I suppose
I've been lucky enough to borrow bikes through the years to keep my hand in, but it's not the same as running your own.
Reminds me of a "BAB" who came to buy my Gpz305, took it for a spin, and came back white-faced saying it was a bit faster than the Bantam he used to own. He had grabbed a handful of revs two stroke style and wheelied off when he left my house, came back a bit slower

Cool ta, glad if it helps.

Written by a BAB for BAB's tbh mate, 15 years out of the saddle of my CG125, after a CBT, 20 hours training and a 45min test, I end up wobbling out of the shop on my shiny Mk.1 Fazer! eek

A great choice in my opinion mate; below 6000rpm it's smoother, better balanced, more responsive and all around easier to ride than the XJ600 Div's we trained on. Above 9k it's rapid! And sooooo confidence inspiring, I've spent the past month admiring my chicken strips and nibbling them down (yummy). I hated the way it looks, now I've grown accustomed to it and admire the way it works: I had been fancying getting another bike purely as a toy (I commute on this), but I think I'll hold off until autumn now and settle into enjoying the summer on the Fazer.

Nice one, I'd like a Fazer, I've been pottering around on a Divvy and an ER-5. I'll probably have to wait till my January bonus to get onto two wheels properly, due to still being fiscally challenged. Being made redundant two times in a row whilst trying to hang onto the family home has put a big dent in my piggy bank. laugh
But I'll get there.
