Bike Limiters on the Beeb
Discussion
Didn't the manufacturers agree to not make their bikes top speeds higher than 300kph (186mph) a few years back? Surely that's enough.

Is the whole thing designed to piss motorcyclists off?: "The report on government motorcycling strategy also said motorbikes were too polluting and that illegal use of mini motos was a problem."
Oh yeah, compared to the car (not that I'm against that either) motorcycle pollution is a real problem.

Don't rise to the car comparisons!
Surely it is better for bikers and drivers to unite as motorists and object to the regulations that both groups are facing as a whole?
it's classic divide and conquer tactics in action I tell you!

absolutely
Wait for the comments that some cars are voluntarily limited to 155 mt manufacturer.
Then attempts to make bike limiters statutory and mandatory.
Then make car limits dittoWhilst in the background it is absolutely impossible to show from the data that speed limiters on heavies has had any positive effect on road safety or traffic flow. Now in the process of extending that legislation onto vans > 3.5t Max laden weight, and passenger vehicles with > 8 seats.
Even UK govt didn't agree, forced on us by EU.
Thin end of very wedgy wedge.
Solidarity chaps/chapesses!!!!
