New Clutch, Mk4 Polo
Discussion
Hi People,
I had my Gearbox recon'd and new clutch fitted. However when you depress the clutch pedal in 2nd I can hear a rubbery squelch coming from it when cold, seems to go when warm though, anyone ever heard of that before? also I think I can hear the thrust bearing in 1st? but not the other gears.
The clutch has only been in for a day though.
Thanks all,
Ash

Yep I am, nothing eva seems to go rite. I spoke to the garage that fitted it, they said that they also noticed the 1st gear noise. But then it went, however they feel they know what caused whats causing it. a shield near the engine next to the fly wheel. they say when I depress the clutch the fly wheel moves ever so slightly ever catching the shield or just making it virbrate.
What does everyone else think?
thanks,
Ash
