The French police have today brought out new cars equipped with radar that works both if you are being followed or if they are coming the opposite way. If the other way it just deducts their spped from the closing speed and they do a quick U turn and you are nabbed. Watch out carefully with A4's with what looks like a comic relief day black nose on the grille like this:-

Similarly, if you see one behind be very careful to wave him past.

The photo dosent show the roof of the car. Are they un-marked cars or have they got lights on the roof?

Hey I'd like to know where you got the info from. I don't think they can afford those cars if france. This is from a french guy. The fastest cars they have are subaru impreza WRX ( not tunned), after that pugs 306 gti-6 and one lost ford crown or something like that in montpellier south of france that is being locked aways because it uses too much fuel and the chassis isn't adapted to the local windy roads.
For most people the imprezas are a waste of public money so I don't think they would have S4's .

If they had really bought S4 it would be on all the media on tv newspapers like when they bought their 100 WRX ( 7 or 8 allready crashed...), because they would be really proud.
for the moment I don't know any one who has heard of it.

But in france, they are putting radars in dustbins in the sreet , in big cities. you just see et small black square on it. Or under motorway bridges ( in some towns, like Angers just after le mans).

cars with radars, on the motor way can be pugs 306 +estate, 406 estate, ford focus...

Friday evenings there are alot on french speeding over 170kmh 200 and more on the motor way between paris and le mans, as they often want to get home quickly.

If they really got audis, they'll get partly crashed, for the rest better be careful.

The information was sent to me by the president of my French Jaguar club who is also a member of the ACO committee. I have no proof of the cars but he is usually correct.

Ah well they are French so wont fight back just push them off the road and strip them naked then tie them to a tree job done.

Or you could go for the police camera action show and see if they can catch you and claim you thought they where some kind of french mafia out to get you.

Worth a try if not just remind them who got them out of a tight spot a few years ago in you strongest english accent, finish with a what what old boy if required ?
