Rear screen needed

Some scrote has gone a slashed my rear screen. Any Ideas where I can get a new or good second hand one in Essex

Damn bad luck there, did they cause any other damage or was it just malicious?

One thing to watch for with the replacement though... The previous owner of mine had the same happen last year and the new screen is very thick making it difficult to fold the roof down and the pinch points at the folds have arrived very quickly, so it likely won't take much to tear I reckon when the temperature is at either end of the scale.

Sorry about the news always gutting when someone breaks somthing for you.

A pal of mine had a new hood on his MX5 from these people and they did a great job on it.

They say they can do anything you like I.e zip out rear window so no more pinching etc.

I did try that once, but having had to reach back and grab the flapping when hooning on the motorway put me off and I haven't tried it since!

Might give it a go though, as the towel in question matches the new S

Tripps, I find rolling the towel up neatly and then wrapping a little selotape around each end and in the middle kept it all together.

I've just had the screen on mine replaced by JP (Jim) King of Thurmaston near Leicester. Top quality workmanship and twice the quality of the original. He restores classics and does general trimming. I guess it's too far for you, but I thought I'd post just in case.

The guy who sold me mine left me his solution- I think this is a few lengths of pipe insulation wrapped in fabric (matching the paintwork, of course) and tied at each end to make a sort of large sausage. Seems to do the trick and can be kept on the parcel shelf when not needed.
