If a customer orders something and pays by CC, then subsequently the order doesn't arrive, can they reclaim the money from the CC company even if they have already cleared their CC account in the meantime?
TIA

The credit card company may help if you contact their customer services. Somewhere along the line there's a £100 minimum value though (I think )

Whether you've paid or not will be unimportant. Answer is give 'em a ring (as long as you've exhausted all avenues of inquiry with the supplier)

The answer is yes.

Under the Consumer Credit Act the credit supplier is joinly culpable in situations where there is a problem with a purchase.

So if the company doesnt pay up, the Credit company should.
