It's not as good value as it used to be since they stopped the inclusive in-France breakdown recovery. It's still included for members who joined before the change, as williamp will testify regarding his 'interesting' return journey last year.

i find it excellent value.
i may buy twenty discounted general entry and grandstand tickets and almost recoup the fees.
i have another cool(ish) base during "the race" weekend.
i visit LM at least twice more, per annum, for track days and take advantage of/abuse their facilities.
i have a pretty sticker for the windscreen.

I agee it can be good value. I joined at the track one year to get out of the sun ( God it was hot that year, 2003 I think). Membership allows up to about 5 guests so the subscrition divided by 6 is cheap. You can all sit at a table , drink, eat, watch the race on monitors keep up to date with the print-outs of car positions etc. One time I found that the dates of the following year were a few days earlier (if you see what I mean) and I found myself still a member at the next Le Mans! So we all piled in again the next year for free because I had been a member only 11 months and 20 odd days. Yes you can get a few discounts and freebies.

Also, food and drink are at least 10% cheaper in members' areas. Add that up over the weekend, plus quali, and pre-quali if you do that as well. Also, there is a really good members' enclosure at scrutineering.

general entry tickets have now arrived.
20 @ face value of 61€ each = 1220€ to non members.

6 @ 46€ = 276€
14 @ 55€ = 770€
total paid = 1046€

total saved = 174€

it's not rocket science.

I've been a member for the last 2 years, although you can get good discounts on tickets I have never been able to get the tickets I have requested. I ended up on bleu nord last year which was ok but this year the offered me techno parc. which i was not happy about.
The members area is over rated with little or no chance of a seat and large ques for food or drink.
I'd rather spend over face value on a ticket from ebay, that way i can guarentee my place and with out the cost of membership potentialy save money.
i'm not looking to renew my membership next year

Members aren't able to queue jump, it's true. The only way to be reasonably sure of getting the places you want is to book on pre-quali weekend the year before. Booking is about first-come, first-served and nothing more. Most best campsites and granstands for the following year are reserved by 1st practice day (Wednesday of race week.)

btw, you know you can use the bar in the ACO grandstand too, don't you? Shorter queues there.

Had membership for 2 years, have not renewed this year. Did not think it was worth it, and the seats they offered me were cr@p.
Bought tickets from Justtickets, got what i wanted at a reasonable price.
