Anyone pranged their 996?? I have a pair of 996 Xenon complete units for sale (only as a set!) from my LHD german-reg Targa.
These are 3 years old and were exchanged by Porsche as they have slightly defective lenses i.e the coating looks as if it is slightly scratched, otherwise 100%. I will sell these on at the price I had to pay Porsche for the semi-guarantee replacement (€600,- plus posting and packaging)
Part numbers are: Left 996.631.055.20: Right 996.631.056.20
I can take photos if required....any takers?
Mods, if this ios the wrong place please feel free to place somewhere else! Ta, John

These are the "fried-egg" shaped lights, and according to my dealer they are the same for LHD and RHD, the on board electronics will take care of the dipping. BUT only if you've already got Xenons and need them exchanged i.e after a prang......

I assume that, as for my 997, it's just a case of switching a small lever at the back to change from left hand dip to right hand dip.....

note that the switch on the back only flattens the beam, it doesn't actually flip the pattern.
