Spent a while last night completing the "tour of the Island" race. Used my Lambo Murci tuned to stage 3. Even hitting the 225mph top speed a numerous times (Often for a few minutes at a time eek ) I still only finished the race about 1min 28seconds ahead of second place.... this is after 48minutes of racing!!!. I'm sure I could have used one of the McLarens but to be honest they get a bit twitchy around 200mph and being rear wheel drive can be quite hard to hold onto in the faster (read 150+mph) sweeping bends, the 4wd Lambo is like a rock in comparison.

The only reason I did the race though is because I wanted this.....

I also took a few other pictures for the fun of it so thought I would start a thread for those of use using the game and enjoying the photo option....

What the devil drives.....

Nice candy respray.....

Acidental picture.....

(I stopped in my 430 to take a photo and the 288 being driven by AI skidded to a halt and started honking his horn as I was blocking his lane, even though he was clear of me he then stayed there until I moved off)

Well, took a few more.

Got another couple of Concepts....

And found a Secret area....

This was taken on the small Island off the lower east coast of the island. You get there by drving over the "E" on the mountain on the main island (again, lower east corner)
However, if you cant be bothered to do that, just copy the following text into your Bookmark.txt file....

"On the secret Island" 4 63662.32 8.63 45848.97 -0.935 0.007 -0.355 427930409

I've also found a way inside the main airport....

Again, just copy the following into your bookmark folder....

"Inside the Airport" 5 37148.01 1.69 46115.73 0.452 -0.132 0.882 427930673

for both the above Bookmarks I would recomend the following, go to an area near to the respective places and save a bookmark with photo for each naming as above. Then come out of the game and replace the bookmarks in the txt file with the ones above.

Can you give any explanation on how to get to the secret island?

The one to get onto the airport, is to wheelie into the fence isn't it?
That's how I did it....
Is there anyway to get a car on the runway?

Thanks!

Well once your on the airport press pause and go to "bookmarks". Select "new Bookmark" It will then ask you to take a photo (will look like standard photo mode). Once this is done, name the photo.

You now have a bookmark saved inside the airport and to visit it you press pause (whilst in a car or on a bike) and select bookmarks and go to the one you want. Viola, inside the airport in a car. And when you come out of the game your profile will now have a "bookmarks" folder with a text file.

To get on the island is far trickier. On the top of the mountain at the bottom east corner of the island there is an eden logo ghosted. Drive over it at 60kph and you are instantly transported to the the island. I managed this once then forgot to save a Bookmark, took me ages to get back (forgot where the logo was). So once back I saved the bookmark above so I never need to do the logo trick again.

Try the logo trick but to be honest the bookmark is there for you above should you get frustrated

Holy thread resurection batman....

With a few tips from the interweb I've been having a play with the cars, more to the point, the wheels fitted to the cars.

Elise riding on Exige rims......

Noble GTO3R riding on M400 rims...

Alfa running on the concepts rims...

575M running 360CS wheels...

Shelby GT500 on modern Mustang wheels...

The 288GTO running F40 wheels...

...which for me didn't look different enough, so I put 250GTO wheels on it...

I've also changed a few of the Audi's and the Nissan 350Z has Skyline GTR wheels. The changes dont change the handling in anyway whatsoever, but it's fun, and anyway, I think a few look far better (Noble and 575 especially).

True, but it's not like Ted's paying for the bandwidth. Looks like most of those pictures are on various bits of NTL
