If better gas milage/emissions was that easy and cheap why aren't car manufacturers
using that technology to meet government set fuel efficiency/emissions targets?

The science behind them is absolutely sound, but to have any effect at all you must have the lucky rabbits foot installed too. If you have fitted a fool catalyst in the tank you will have to take that out otherwise they'll cancel each other out.

You forgot to mention that the addition of a certain snakes oil could double power/half consumption and repair all known diseases and ailments known to affect the internal combustion engine and probably all other methods of propulsion to boot, if the tone of the million and one independent endorsements offered is anything to go by!

If they market it based on endorsements as opposed to quantifiable independent tests conducted using pure unbiased scientific metodology then it's probably as much bull as (IMHO) I think it is.

Thats torn it. I bet the threat of legal action will be along soon...

We have a guy selling them at work.
The concensus between 20 or so of us that have tried them is that they work really well on turbo diesel cars - much more response and about a 15% increase in fuel economy HOWEVER, those of us with petrol cars have noticed little or no difference.
