this game would probably be the only reason for me to trade up to a PS3 when it comes out!
it looks fantastic! can't help but notice rockstar have hidden a subliminal message in that trailer, the building with "Getalife" written on it!

I have no intentions of spending more than £300 on one, but £300 for an HD player's not bad.
You could be waiting some time to play GTA4 then, unless you're buying it outside the normal channels.

The Rockstar site doesn't mention what formats the game will be released on. It's only the ripped YouTube video that has PS3/360 on it. For all I can find out that could have been the PC version; can't see them not making one either. SA and VC were popular on all formats.

GTAIV was announced as being released at the same time as PS3 ages ago.

The styling of the cars is probably a more obvious giveaway, since the city will, as always be entirely fictional.

I'm probably mistaken but I've seen a trailer that was definitely set in the twenties / thirties... Dunno if someone had listed it incorrectly on youtube, but it looked very cool.
Anyway. I can't wait for the game to come out, it's clearly set in modern day new york, and it looks fantastic
