Very d9dgy if you ask me... hehe

My brother's done quite a bit of experimenting with cheap tyres on his Cosworth, and basically they are cheap for a reason in his opinion, ranging from poor ride, noise levels, cornering breakaway, aquaplaning, need I go on... confused

I can't comment on the Nankang's you refer to, however on a high end car like a Porsche I would only ever use the recommended factory fit tyre or one which has equally been proven on the marque.

You get what you pay for, in my experience, and I would assume there's a reason they're £75....

I don't know, is the answer to your question, but I tend to think there's a reason you pay more for Pirelli, Michelin, Continental and the like - and it's not JUST paying for the name.

MADNESS.......the only part of the car in contact with the road is the tyres!
NEVER skimp on them as it could be very costly (and I'm not just talking monetary value here either) further down the line......

I agree. MADNESS!

Tyres are not just molten black rubber poured into a mould FFS! They are carefully crafted layer by layer with steel belts and reinforcement.........

They are the only thing betwen you getting maimed. If you are running on a budget buy from Bracknell Tyres or someone like that - PZeros for £100.

Quite apart from the lack of N rating which means your insurance is invalid, probably.

yikes

I'd suggest continental sport contact 2s, or toyo t1rs.

They wont cost a fortune (100-125 per tyre) but at least they are well known and get good reviews.
