Have your local speed camera partnerships also removed their enforcement schedule from their websites?
The publishing of mobile enforcement schedules will be under internal review from 1st April 2007.

Schedules will not be published from Monday 2nd April 2007 until further notice.
Also, A&S have just bought some nice new Renault Traffic vans, to afford the scam operators greater comfort than the Ford Galaxies they had. The new vans even have cameras on the outside to monitor what's going on around them - are they expecting trouble? Perhaps they've been attacked before and it's been hushed up?

Are the new rules starting soon, it looks like spend spend spend at the mo!

Edited to fix quotes - I give up!

Sounds like fraud and corruption to me...

We should all be pointing the Public Accounts Ombusman at dubious spending decisions like this, there's bound to be some kickback involved if he digs deep enough.

Worst case the scum get to feel what persecution feels like.

quoting fixed, or not...

And your evidence for 'fraud and corruption ' in relation to purchasing vehicles ( I assume that is what you mean) is what exactly?

I am from that force and I would be very interested to know if you have information in relation to crime in my area.

Alternatively you could call Crimestoppers. You may even get a reward.

If so, on a totally different matter, do you know what happened to the Speed camera at Mudford? Did it get attacked? I thought it looked like burn marks on it and then it was gone.

As speed cameras go I always thought that one was reasonable...small village on A road, fairly straight so tempting speeding, speed camera inside village and very obvious. So obvious in fact that you'd have to be a bit of a muppet to get caught by it

None, just seems dodgy spending all that money ahead of the rule change...

Can't see that honest decent people would associate themselves with SCPs, they're bound to be up to something a bit off IMO.

No smoke without fire after all.

Will Crimestoppers pay for "That SCP lot seem a bit sketchy to me"? If so, post their number!

Think you'll find it's fairly common practice in large organisations to spend your entire budget before the 31 March.

Any underspend is likely to reduce your allocation for the next year.

The SCP's have additional reason to do this this year because of the way their funding is changing.

I have no issue with them buying new vans, its better than a 2.8 v6 Ford Galaxy being left, boot open and engine on tickover all day every day to provide heat for the operators. Just think of the carbon footprint

However, watch these vans as they also appear to have a side window for shoving a camera out of.......

Expect to see them parked on motorway bridges and just tucked in side roads then ..........

Sorry Mate, I am ashamed to say I don't know where Mudford is.It sounds very picturesque!
Is it near Yeovil?
I am a city boy really.
From what you say it got burnt out. I know there has been a bit of this going on recently 'down south'
IIRC someone got caught for it not too long ago, but I may be mistaken on that.
