balancing the throttles

Been searching the archives about throttle pots and there are a few references to balancing the throttles.

Could someone just give a quick guide how to do this and to what readings this will affect on the sofware output...

Try this one for starters:

Also, the car will run off one throttle pot if you have an Emerald, I am sure the Emerald reads from the drivers side bank, so if one has failed then you can swap the connections over over to determine which one has failed and the car will drive fine provided the "good" pot is read from the drivers side bank, however, I don't think this applies to the MBE as this reads both.

No, I _think_ I'm right in saying that the MBE will read either pot if its getting no signal from one.

So if you suspect a pot is dodgy you can disconnect one, and see if the car still runs.
